How Stella Got Her Groove Back is a great "chick flick". I went to see it on two separate occasions with two different friends. After seeing it we all agreed we were ready to head to the Islands. I was especially touched by the way various relationships were portrayed. I found her friendship with Whoopie Goldberg to be a very realistic of a lifelong friendship. I also thought her relationship with her sisters was well done. I can honestly say the acting was good, the movie kept my interest and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I must stress that this movie is for adults. I would in no way take a child. There is some language and adult situations that would be inappropriate for anyone under 18. Oct 5, 2003
\"How Stella Got Her Groove Back?\" And why should I care? Angela Bassett played a 40\'s woman who falls for a younger man, played by Taye Diggs. This film looked like it many have been written by Danielle Steele. I like romantic films, but this film is strickly made for TV fare.
