This movie is filled with cameos and surprises. I like the interaction between Eddie Murphy (Ray) and Martin Lawrence (Claude). At first I wasn't sure where they were going with the movie, but it's all about friendship. Two people who start off not knowing each other thrown together in a situation become friends. I loved all the snappy jokes and one liners. Towards the end of the movie, it gets even funnier. I loved it and I got a big laughs!! Jan 25, 2000
This movie SUX!!!! I tried to go Sunday evening, but all the shows were sold out. I thought to myself, "Cool, this will be a great movie." Boy, was I surprised! I think there were three funny spots in the entire movie. When are Hollywood and America going to figure out that Eddie Murphy just can't act - he is a comedian, not an actor. Jan 25, 2000
This movie was ok, but i could have waited for the rental. Jan 25, 2000
This is one of those films that if you take out all the funny scenes it would still be a pretty darn good movie, due to the cast. But lucky for me, it's funny so that's not an issue. Martin Lawrence, and Eddie Murphy get framed for murder on a moonshining gig and must spend life in prison. The performances are great and the supporting cast is more than the usual group of colorful individuals, making this a great film. *** out of **** Apr 21, 2002
A dull prision movie starring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence as two men who are sentenced to life imprisonment for a crime that they didn't commit. There are a few good moments, including great make-up on both Murphy and Lawrence as they aged though the years, but the film is low on laughs.
