One of the best movie of all time came out in 1981, which became one of the best years for film. "Raiders of the Lost Ark" along with Warren Beatty's "Reds" and "Ragtime," all three released by Paramount Pictures. I called them the three R's, because all three had all earned Oscar nomination.

I love 1981 because it was the year that I fell in love with the movies and that all began with "Raiders of the Lost Ark." I saw the movie twice and I wanted to see it over and over again but I can't and that's the beauty of the movie, it left me wanting more. 1981 was a special year for me, it was also the turning point for me. It was Indiana Jones, Arthur etc. that changed my life forever.

The film starred Harrison Ford as a professor name Indiana Jones who must find the Ark of the converet, the one that displayed the ten commandments or else it would falls in the hands of the Nazis. With his whip and his dirty hat, he battled the Nazis with the help of Marion, played by Karen Allen. It was fun all the way. This was the type of movie that we needed. This is a landmark film, directed by Steven Spielberg, that became a mermorable experience. One theatre in Saginaw ran the movie for 48 weeks. I heard of movie theatres that ran the movie for even a longer period of time.

"Raiders of the Lost Ark" is the reason why I proud to say that I lost it at the movies.
