Hi ,this is what u might call my job, and i have to go to these movies with a open mind with no regard for any personal feelings towards any of the actors, but, ahh, well, I'm not a spice girl fan myself and this film just made a little easier to dislike them for their boring repeadative music and their annoying attitudes well in short movies like this are supposed to be funny, cause they don't work when there not funny cause is just makes everyone involved with this movies stupid and this movies was not funny

From 'Visual Fox Spice Pro'

Such drama...such witty repart&eacute. A timeless classic for all the ages.

Oh, wait a minute...these are the Spice Girls!

The movies greatest moments are when the Spice Girls are not around. Look for a large number of Spice World .WAV files on the internet after this movie comes out on video [in March], there really are someclassic lines.

uhm...yeah.

This was a highly entertaining diversion. Any movie with two of the stars from Rocky Horror (Meatloaf and Richard O'Brien) has to be going for cult status, and I believe SpiceWorld is destined for such a fate as well. It certainly has enough of a camp element to raise it to such status. A high energy romp through a sterotype world, this movie isn't high comedy, but it will amuse. (See this movie with a large group of friends.)

Spice World
Too Much Spice
By Jason Whyte

This is how Tuesday, January 27th, 1998 went. I woke up, I ate breakfast, I ventured off to school to write a math exam. I left. I went to a mall in Victoria, BC that was showing "Spice World" at 12PM. I left. I came home and here I am in front of the computer writing this review.

So what was the most fun part of the day? Yep, you guessed, it, the math exam. That middle part I was talking about, this crap called "Spice World" is farther down into the depths of Ed Wood than Ed Wood could ever go. In the eighteen years of my existence, and my viewing of more than two thousand movies, "Spice World" is, and this is valid: THE WORST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN. Just to even think about a frame of this filth, this garbage about The Spice Girls, girls who make it big even though they can't sing.

How can you possibly like a movie where the principal idea is to glamorize the people on screen? "Spice World" not only pushes that envelope, but goes 93 minutes further into complete nonsense. Here are these five women, all aged in their early twenties, making a movie about themselves and about how great they are. The film is apparently based on real evidence (the "idea" was pitched to Columbia by the Spice Girls themselves, no less), as the film suggests, and that really unsettles me: to see life as what it is on screen, I don't want to live anymore.

There is no plot (again, the film is an "idea", not a story). It is just 93 minutes of the scantily clad dancers traveling around England, having flashbacks about their pre-stardom (though we never see how they really got going), and little conspiracies going on behind their back: a tabloid news agency wants to destroy them, and two aspiring filmmakers want to make a movie featuring the girls.

And I want to get into this "bus" that the girls ride around on. It is like a mansion, and I should also point out it is about twenty-five feet wide inside, and an exterior shot makes the bus only six feet wide or so.

Oh yeah, if you don't know the girls, you probably don't want to know about them, but they are five completely different individuals, all of which have a stereotype which pertains to them. I have forgotten most of their names already; sorry, I am not a full time critic, I don't take notes. But don't you think that if you forget their names, than that is pretty sad too? I got so confused with all the confusing British banter and dressing of clothes. One of them, the red-haired one, looks old enough to be the mother to that blonde one.

I am not a die-hard Spice Girl fan. I can't imagine anyone over 16 who is. For all under the category, all those bra-stuffing giggling brat females and tough punk guys, I don't think they will get it either. The film was partly ripped from that Beatles classic, "A Hard Day's Night". But just remember: the Beatles were talented. They weren't annoying. They actually made music you could listen to. The Rolling Stones are talented. They are so good that I can even listen to the slow songs. But all the noise the Spice Girls are performing is just monotonus garbage. It doesn't make any goose bumps fly off my shoulder, unlike listening to Stones' "Wild Horses" or Beatles' "A Day In the Life." If the girls are going to rip off a classic that showcases 60's music at its finest, they should be making music that is as classic as the movie they are copying.

Grade: F

Tech Review:

Picture: 2. A messy looking picture with brownish blacks; the picture is out of focus most of the time and in other scenes it is really bright.

Sound: 2.5 An ear-shattering SDDS mix that is way too loud, especially in the music scenes. Even when actors talk, it is harsh and noisy, way off balance. Surround effects are good, but there are no split-surrounds.

Photography: 0.5 Once again, matted to the god-awful 1.85. Someone should enroll director Bob Spiers in framing 101, this painful composition (if you can call it that) is so annoying I just stopped caring.

Length: 93 min. pamgrier@hotmail.com

I am sick of people completly slamming this movie, sure it wasen't witty and intellegent but this is the Spice Girls. They set out to make a movie that is alot of fun. That is what it is and nothing more. It has been constantly compaired to The Beatles A Hard Days Night. Well as far as I can tell the only parallel between these two movies is that they both have British pop stars in them. The Spice Girls know they aren't the most talented, and they know they are superficial and the best parts of the movie are the ones in which they make fun of themselves.

This was a really good movie and it was entertaining too!!! If you like the spice girls you will love this wonderfull movie. However if you do not like the spice girls you may want to wait for rentel because then if you do not like the spice girls movie "spice world" then you can just stop the movie! Out of 5 stars I would give this movie a 4 and a half because some people may not like it as much as me and my friends did. This a wonderfull movie! QUIZ: did I enjoy this movie, you decide!

The movie Spice World was a very good movie. I liked the movie because I liked the singing in it. I liked seeing it in the theater because it's kind of like a concert.

This movie was TERRIBLE! Although we don't really like the Spice Girls, my friends and I decided to see the movie. I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone who is planning on seeing it (although I honestly don't recommend it) so I really don't know how to put it except for saying that it was an awful movie. Don't waste your money on this WASTE OF TIME!

\"Spice World\" has it funny moments, but it\'s not as good as the far better \"A Hard Days Night\" with the Beatles. I love the Spice Girls and their music, but the film lacks direction.
